The Democrat Party is the party of slavery, Ku Klux Klan, and segregation. So why do Black Americans overwhelming vote for Democrats? Because the Democrats have a policy of “let me write you a check” solution for every problem Black Americans have. The latest scam on this is “reparations”. In the end, none of the problems such as poor education, poverty, crime, drugs, rats, and homelessness, which plagues the Black communities under Democrat control, are never solved.
So when Republicans actually start to address such problems, the Democrats defame and obstruct them. This is why Trump and his team members are being attacked in court. “Progressive” Democrats have lawyered up and are using lawfare to obstuct any positive change.
A perfect example is Trump’s First Step Act which was designed to reverse the damage caused by mandatory minimums. Trump advisor Peter Navarro, who has been unConstitutionally sent to prison, reports the Federal Bureau of Prisons is violating the First Step Act (https://peternavarro.substack.com/p/new-navarro-interview-bidens-bureau short link https://tinyurl.com/svxezw2t). This means thousands of Black Americans as well as other Americans continue to sit in jail on overtly long prison sentences at taxpayer expense.
Many Black Americans have changed over the many decades. Many have moved up, moved out, and moved on to lead a life of prosperity while many of the communities they left continue to suffer. After all the hype and hoopla over an Obama Presidency, many Black Americans began a painful processs of recognizing the Democrats were not doing anything for them. The result is many Black Americans pushed even harder for reform and worked with Republicans to get the job done.
Many Black Nebraskans pushed hard for the School Choice Act in the Nebraska Unicameral which was pushed by Republicans. This issue should be a key issue in the Congressional District 2 race beween Republican Congressman Don Bacon and former state senator Tony Vargas, who is the Democrat candidate in this race. Vargas refused for vote for the Act, but how many are taking notice (https://x.com/DonJBacon/status/1804721573909192988) or are Black Nebraskans just going to vote again for Democrats?
But still many Black Americans look at Republicans with great suspicion even when they agree with Republicans. Sometimes, this is out of fear of what other Black Americans will think and other times, it is merely the lack of understanding how complex the Republican Party is.
Locally in Omaha, more and more Black Nebraskans are moving in William King’s direction. Who is William King? He is a longtime Black Omaha resident. Here is the information Perplexity AI presents about him.
A’Jamal Byndon of Movement in Omaha for Racial Equity (MORE) did this excellent interview with William King. In the interview, King explains how Republicans have helped him, his cosmopolitan nonpartisan viewpoint, as well as his faith. On top of this, he supports Trump.
Until Republicans take on this insidious and the blatant racism of the Democrats and that party little changes. The Democrats blocked school doors in the 1950's and they are doing the same today. In the 50's to keep blacks out today to keep them in substandard schools. Why a Republican running for office doe not just bludgeon the Democrats on this is puzzling. It should be talked about at every chance they get. Why blacks cannot see this is even more puzzling. You are right the checkbook coming out has a lot to do with it, but really that has not helped blacks en masse - it has however enriched people like Al Sharpless and his race baiting ilk.
Competition is good for schools--and for the students--and the parents who send their kids there. School choice forces schools to compete and gives parents and students more options.
Or at least, it would--if the teachers weren't all being taught the same CRT/DEI trash in the teacher training programs. We NEED better teacher training programs: ones that don't teach these failed and flawed, and totally destructive ideologies.
