Boy Lost in Barren American Desert
How Many More Are There?
America is a nation of immigrants. This is most certain. However, much, if not most, immigration to the United States required a process to prevent chaos from being unleashed. People can argue about immigration policy all day long, but the current immigration policy leaves this boy wandering lost in a desert. How many more are out there wandering a desert?
I do not know when this video was taken, who took it, or where it was taken. It appears to be among the many dirt roads in the desolate areas of Texas or Arizona. There are no trees, mountains, houses, pavement, or power lines. The sky is overcast (which makes a desert climate cold) and apparently, there is a light rain (the car wiper is moving and the boy’s hood is up).
At first, the man speaking in the video seems to be a border patrol agent but is possibly a concerned citizen. The boy is distressed and wearing a shirt bearing Batman. To what extent the boy is telling the truth or how accurate he is as to what happened to him is unknown, but he certainly does not deserve to be abandoned in a desert. He may be a victim of a distraction tactic meant to tie up authorities while the immigrants cross over at some other place.
