Poison Progressives Will Rule

Douglas County Treasurer in Nebraska is running for Mayor of Omaha. He has much respect and experience. He was a former police officer. Sounds like a good choice, right? Wrong.

Mr. John Ewing is a caring, nice guy. But unless he puts substantial distance from himself and from the poisonous progressives, there is no way anyone should vote for him. In addition, he really has not stated what City policies he would change. He mostly has listed his resume accomplishments.

We have plenty of progressives in Omaha. Bernie Sanders spoke in Omaha. Eric Williams, an elected Omaha Public Power Distrct (OPPD) officical not only attended but spoke at the event. Sanders “Fight Oligarchy” tour attacked the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). TCJA helped working families a lot but it are set to expire at the end of 2025. If it expires, working families will be paying thousands of dollars more in income tax.

In addition, the Blue Dot Energy group was part of a national progressive protests, called the “Hands Off” Rally. Tim Carter, a Democrat, who is running against Aimee Melton for City Council, spoke at the event and used the F boom multiple of times, but only KFAB radio station took the time to tell the public about this.

This is nothing new. The progressives shutdown freedom of speech during the Covid Pandemic (https://www.3newsnow.com/news/coronavirus/anti-mask-billboards-taken-down-after-community-complaints).

There was also the case of Nebraska State Senator going on her own rant at the Unicameral (https://www.foxnews.com/video/6327920309112).

There is no assurance Ewing would stand apart from such poisonous progressives. He has said nothing to differentiate himself from them. If you are going to vote, do not vote for him.
