Checking my emails and I find an email from Congressman Don Bacon:
With Nebraska Republicans beginning a tedious process of patching up differences (https://nebraskaexaminer.com/briefs/nebraska-gop-closes-ranks-endorses-federal-delegation/), I encourage conservatives to attend and to have the Congressman clear up concerns many have.
First, since Bacon brags about legislation he has passed, what bad legislation has he blocked? How far has he gone to block bad legislation? Nebraska Republicans have long supported a goal of electing 33 State legislators merely to overcome progressive filibusters. Why do Republicans on the Federal level keep caving to the progressive Democrat demands?
Second, will Bacon co-sponsor or vote for H.R.8785 - Tax Free Tips Act of 2024 (https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/house-bill/8785/cosponsors) introduced by Congressman Thomas Massie, particularly since presidential candidates from both political parties support removing such tax?
Third, will Bacon endorse and offer a House bill of Nebraska US Senator Pete Rickett’s bill to end taxation of Social Security (https://www.ricketts.senate.gov/news/press-releases/ricketts-introduces-social-security-check-tax-cut-act/) Or will Bacon co-sponsor or vote for the You Earned It, You Keep It bill which was introduced by a Democrat (https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/118/hr7084) or support or introduce other such legislation? Bipartisan support exists for such a measure.
Fourth, what will Bacon do to reduce Federal expenditures? Remove the Department of Education and return education to the states? Abolish or reduce the FBI, IRS and ATF?
Attend, show up and stay, and ask questions. But be civil and polite. People need to know Bacon.
All very good questions. I hope those living in his district can finally get some real answers.
Bacon like most other elected reps work fr the government not us. We are NOT the governemtn despite what many think or were taught. Sadly Vargas make Bacon look like a libertarian
