"Brassknuckles" Come Out
In politics, every candidate craves an endorsement and often endorsements are given out like candy, without much thought. Yet, the Sean Kelly for Douglas County Commissioner (5th district) campaign has mailed out a long letter from former Omaha Mayor Hal Daub. Wow! The letter is enough to make any candidate drool with envy of Daub’s endorsement. In addition, the letter is quiet succinct in explaining a significant problem and why Sean Kelly should be elected.
Since this is coming from Hal Daub, the letter looks like this to me as he left no stone unturned in explaining the County’s problem.
Yes, there are plenty who have known of the County’s folly in spending and it has drawn media attention before (https://flatwaterfreepress.org/still-empty-a-year-later-omahas-new-27m-juvenile-jail-might-never-open-as-planned/) but now Sean Kelly is highlighting the problem. And Daub has put his glorious stamp of approval of Sean Kelly for doing so.
