Douglas County Tax Rebellion!

Due to great work from the Unicameral, there will be a joint-hearing on property tax increases in Douglas County (as well as other counties).

The Douglas County Clerk has done a fairly good recovery on the postcard fiasco by putting all information online at https://www.douglascountyclerk.org/joint-public-hearing-information.

The joint public hearing for these political subdivisions of Douglas County will be held on Wednesday, September 21, at 6:05 PM in the Legislative Chamber (second floor) of the Omaha-Douglas Civic Center, located at 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, NE 68183, so show up to comment! Please be polite and stress the problems of using property taxes as the main tax revenue for these subdivisions. More importantly, share this information with everyone you know.
