Republicans are pulling together! Many candidates have mastered digital campaigns and have ads on Youtube and other outlets.

Congressman Don Bacon (https://donjbacon.com/) continues to campaign after a very short visit to the hospital (https://www.wowt.com/video/2022/09/29/rep-don-bacon-undergoes-appendix-surgery/.

Jim Pillen (https://www.jimpillen.com/) spoke in Omaha where his former Omaha competitors, Theresa Thibodeau and Brett Lindstrom, both of Omaha, endorsed him. Smart move!

Democrats keep on hitting chuck holes. Democrat Michael Young, running for the legislature, was charged with a domestic assault and is behind on child support payments (https://nebraskaexaminer.com/2022/10/24/large-number-of-contested-races-spice-2022-elections-for-nebraska-legislature/) Democrat Dave Pantos, who was fired from a job over a sexual affair, is not the type of person to run for Douglas County attorney (https://omaha.com/news/local/douglas-county-attorney-candidates-affair-promotion-of-woman-led-to-his-ouster-from-firm/article_c5f8c1de-40df-11ed-8dc9-932b1cd7df45.html). Also, reports of the Democrat Parties funding Trump-endorsed candidates causes eyes to roll.

Don Kleine (https://donkleine.com/) is running for Douglas County Attorney as a Republican, having left the Democrat Party (https://www.ketv.com/article/douglas-county-attorney-don-kleine-switching-to-republican-party-following-criticism-of-scurlock-case/34301091). The Democrat Party went so far as to accuse Kleine of white supremacy, resulting in Democrats leaving the party (https://www.ketv.com/article/it-was-just-wrong-lifelong-democrat-quits-party-over-attack-on-don-kleine/34243095). Following right behind Kleine is Aaron Hanson for County Sheriff (https://aaronhansonforsheriff.com/).

Marni Hodgen is running for State School board and also has much interest and competent advisors and strong volunteers (https://www.marni4nekids.com). Hodgen is bringing out the conservative base against CRT and gender politics. Also, other races such as Mike McGowan against John McCollister for MUD and Kevin Ryan and against Craig Moody for OPPD have grabbed the interests of true conservatives.

 
With inflation, Russia invasion of Ukraine, controversial education policies, high gas prices, and Biden’s “soaring” poll numbers, the Democrat Party has nothing to offer. Independents and Democrats are moving in the Republican direction (https://www.theblaze.com/news/cbs-news-focus-group-bipartisan-agreement). Since Douglas County has so many non-partisan voters, the question is how many will show up to support Republicans?

Well, that is up to you and me. Get them out to vote!
