Google's “Chemtrail Treatment”

Recycling a Conspiracy Theory

I could not believe Google was doing this. Over many years, there has been the chemtrail conspiracy theory, which claimed contrails were laced with some sort of chemicals or poisoning. I tried to explain to so many people of the silliness of theory (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemtrail_conspiracy_theory) but like a pesky weed, it keeps coming back. When aircraft flies through humid air, it merely results in condensation and becomes visible as a trail. Basic physics causes this.

Yes, seeding clouds has been done, but merely to cause rain. This has been done for many decades (https://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/cloud-seeding). There is a long history of conspiracy theories regarding the control of the weather (https://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/weather-control-as-a-cold-war-weapon-1777409/). To add to the mix, the United States actually attempted to control the weather as a matter of war (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Popeye and https://syvnews.com/news/local/lindsey-a-look-at-the-history-of-cloud-seeding-and-its-future/article_b7ad9e4b-fcc1-5fd6-99e1-0986a46c7bc3.html).

So when the claims of man-made carbon dioxide creating climate change come about, logic kicks in and I tear the theory to pieces. The idea of humans having a vast impact on climate is pure fantasy. However, I never imagined a theory to be so fundamentally overhauled to take the exact same physical phenomena, see it as a problem, and claim to fix it!  Yet, Google has done it with the chemtrail conspiracy changed to air plane conspiracy! 

Today, I found this image on Google’s front page. They are “treating” the “chemtrails” to fight “climate change”.

They have an article about it (https://blog.google/technology/ai/ai-airlines-contrails-climate-change/) and cite the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)! The only good news about this is finally the IPCC is admitting, water vapor, instead of carbon dioxide, impacts the climate! Oh, and Google is using artificial intelligence (AI) to do this! Proof AI will be used to do stupid stuff.

So, for all those who believe the chemtrail conspiracy, is Google now a hero for working to eliminate them?
