Hurray For Newsom!
Do It, California!
Update: One poll suggests Californians broadly reject Newsom’s redistricting plan (https://www.politico.com/news/2025/08/14/california-redistricting-newsom-poll-00508930).
If you been following what Governor Abbott of Texas is doing in redistricting to create new Republican Congressional districts, you most likely know Governor Newsom of California wants to do the same for Democrats (https://www.politico.com/news/2025/08/14/leaked-chart-reveals-winners-and-losers-in-californias-democratic-gerrymander-00510363).
I hope both governors get what they want. Yes, including Newsom. Here is why. Republicans would be ditching weak-knee California Republicans for red meat Texas Republicans. Below is the Club for Growth scorecard for California Republicans and those marked in red would lose their seat based on proposed maps from Newsom.
Now, as a mere comparison, look at how well Texas Republican Congressmen score. They actually beat the Nebraska Congressional delegation quite well.
Here is Nebraska delegation. Sad, isn’t it?
As to Don Bacon exiting Congress, this is a good thing considering his actions (https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/campaigns/congressional/2992476/bacon-gets-heated-with-attack-by-embattled-freedom-caucus-leader-bob-good/): From his X account (https://x.com/DonJBacon/status/1803272433203396754?lang=en)
Here is how well Bob Good scored with Club for Growth.

Is there a score board like that somewhere for the Unicameral? Something that I could tie into the contact info I've posted for them?
