I’m Not Voting!
There is a slim possibility, I might change my mind, but right now, I see no purpose.
Westside School District has decided to send ballots out to all registered voters, preventing any polling booths from being used. There is only one issue on the ballot, a levy override which will result in property tax increases and will likely pass. This ballot is not combined with other election days. The school district decides, and out the ballots go.
Yes, go ahead and vote. Since you have to vote by mail on this one, I recommend you send your ballot in by registered mail with a return receipt (https://about.usps.com/publications/pub370/pub370_v10_revision_012016_tech_005.htm). Tie down the elected officials with the need to prove they have your ballot so you know it was not lost. Save the receipt as a memento of the idiocy of automatic mail-in balloting.
However, for me, this is not a ballot issue but a mere survey. I have no ability to witness anyone voting or turning their ballot over to elected officials. There is no sense of community or officiality. Also, I have no idea if voters were bribed or made drunk for the purpose of getting them to vote. Heck, I have no idea who really filled in the ballots. It may be ChatGPT (https://www.techradar.com/news/chatgpt-explained). Who really knows? To me, this ballot is just another of many surveys for my opinion, not a vote.
“But Andrew, there is no election fraud,” they say, but this simply is not my objection. The election has no sense of fairness, transparency, or integrity to cause me to trust it. The burden of proof of election fraud is irrelevant. The burden of proof is on election officials in showing the election process is trustworthy but they won't. I am actively being prevented from seeing people show up at the polls. Can you not see the problem with this? I know when I was last at the polls, I encountered several voters filling in provisional ballots because they did not receive their mail-in ballot. How trustworthy are mail-in ballots?
I cannot afford an attorney to defend my 14th and 15th Amendment rights. No news outlet will hear my pleas. So not voting is the only viable option on this levy override.

It happened in 2016. However, in 2020 which Biden won, they claimed a perfect election, ignoring all the vast amounts of laws and procedures changed due to Covid (https://ballotpedia.org/Changes_to_election_dates,_procedures,_and_administration_in_response_to_the_coronavirus_(COVID-19)_pandemic,_2020 and https://www.voanews.com/a/how-us-voting-laws-have-changed-since-2020/6819198.html). People objecting are called "election deniers" and “conspiracy theorists”. How civil and polite is that?
As for Trump, the Democrats hate Trump because he was one of them, and he knows all their dirty secrets and tactics. There are Republicans who cannot stand him because Trump has no sense of morals in borrowing the same tactics of his left-wing enemies to attack his enemies. Trump does not seek allies, but enemies to humiliate. He is embracing mail-in ballots and ballot harvesting (https://www.newsmax.com/newsmax-tv/mail-in-voting-ballot-harvesting/2023/03/06/id/1111307/). In 2024, he is likely to win, and the Democrats will scream election fraud and engage in a vast array of violence and will have the empathy of all the major news outlets: hypocrisy be damned. They are already committing violence against conservatives and innocent people.

Political parties use to care about transparency, but now they consider it a waste of time. The County Election officials in Nebraska are partisan officeholders. The Election Commissioner is of one party and the Chief Deputy Commissioner is of the other party to make certain the elections are fair by political partisans. However, an election lacking transparency invites distrust.
Nebraska election officials are not prepared for any of this because they do not understand the problem of the lack of transparency. If the Democrats lose any election, protests can erupt, chanting “Hey hey, ho ho, Brian Kruse has got to go!” or "Bob Evnen has got to go!" or insert the name of any other election official. People are being told violence will come from the right, but it is already coming from the political left and in vast magnitudes and it will only continue to grow.
