A’Jamal Rashad Byndon interviewed Kamau N’Namdi about Omaha property the man owns. You can see the interview below:
County and City officials can screw up and make a mess of things, but N’Namdi is a blatantly negligent property owner doing harm to his neighbors. This is why his neighbors keep reporting his properties to County and City officials.
Here is the listing of his properties. Click on the images to enlarge.
Here is the first property and the taxes.
Her is property number two.
Whatever good intentions he has for these properties, he has zero passion to do anything about them in any meaningful or constructive manner. Blame racism all you want and you will get nowhere when your negligence stinks the community.
Mr. N'Namdi sets the tone of how important these properties are without providing any evidence to anyone else of merely his existence. An absent landowner is what N’Namdi is and he is worthy of no mercy or praise. He is the type of person who brings the community down. He paid very little for these properties and very little taxes. He is very stingy in what he does with the land and does not care about his neighbors and their disdain for empty lots.
Mr. N'Namdi does not understand if you are going to own property and not be frequently present, you need to hire a property manager to pick up the trash, mow the lawn, and take care of neighbors’ concerns. If you are not going to put a house on the lot, at least plant a modest garden, and bushes and perhaps install a swing set or benches and invite people in instead of being a lot of flypaper for litter collection.
A'Jamal apparently believes Mr. N'Namdi has been subject to Nebraska racism over his ownership of Omaha properties. But I believe A’Jamal has become a victim of Texas snake-oil salesmanship.
Mr. N'Namdi owns undeveloped land and because it is undeveloped, it generates nearly no property tax revenue for the schools and City governments which Mr. N'Namdi’s neighbors rely on. Now do you understand why near north Omaha is so poor? To make matters worse, Mr. N'Namdi is not the only landowner in Omaha doing this lethargic obfuscation and squatting on Omaha land.
