I can only hope this could be read in the British Parliament but freedom will be very lucky if this is shared by the thousands and tens of thousands to the English people. Please help.
To my English Cousins across the great pond, I hail you from Omaha, Nebraska in the United States. My words will be ignored by you without any reflection or passing thought: Who needs to hear from another person from ‘the States”?
Yet, dear England, you are censoring too much speech and too much thought as if it were poison in the Thames River (https://www.perplexity.ai/search/how-bad-has-censorship-become-oUXZm6O8Q4i_m4b9wvkL5g#0).
You will perhaps protest saying I am imposing “cultural imperialism” upon you, but this could not be more further from the truth. I point to your own backyard where William Penn, a Quaker, and Founder of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is buried (https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/802/william-penn).
By 1701, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a loyal English colony, passed the Charter of Privileges (https://www.ushistory.org/documents/charter.htm). And, in 1751, to celebrate the 50th year of the Charter, a bell was created, now known as the Liberty Bell (https://www.ushistory.org/LibertyBell/index.html). Dare I say, a Bible quote is on the bell? Here it is:
Leviticus 25:10 says, "And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each of you shall return to your own property, each of you to your own family".
Oh, and before you object, let me remind you: this bell was made possible by English Christians placing a value on freedom as they had established it under a British king. I fear you have forgotten. The time has come to pay tribute to William Penn and visit his grave site and bring flowers.
The time has come for sermons to remind us of his struggles with conscience and speaking. The time has come to resurrect his struggles and how he and others were oppressed. Freedom of speech and thought are worth fighting for. If England cannot do this, can you please send William Penn's body back to Pennsylvania where he will be more deeply appreciated?
