I have to admit, this is a really crafty scheme to have people pay to reduce “their carbon foot print”. Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) invites you to pay more to for “renewable” energy (https://www.oppd.com/residential/products-services/go-green/renewable-choice/). The program is called:
They are inviting people to pay more for energy! Yep! Can you believe it? If your not in Nebraska, does your energy company make such proposal as OPPD? Here is the OPPD proposal.

Yeah, I know. Some of you are going to scoff at as pocket change, but I wonder how many will sign up. At the very least, when you hear someone complain about “climate change”, you can ask them if they have enrolled in this OPPD program.
They should really put peoples money where their mouth is. People that sign up for this should be hooked to just that grid, no base load back up. They run their house, business or what ever on just what these renewables provide. A day like yesterday they could dine by candle light. No wind very little solar radiation no power as the solar radiation would have to be diverted to the wind tower computers. My guess is this scam would last for around 60-90 days. These are not high tech energy producers, they are stone age energy producers. They are 4th world energy producers.
