Omaha is facing trying times, especially Democrats. They cling to misguided ideas and are as strident as ever. Yet, one of their own, a City Council member, has been arrested on Federal charges (https://www.ketv.com/article/omaha-city-councilman-vinny-palermo-allegations-arraignment/43690433).

The best way to convince Vinney Palermo is by petition. Way too many of local Republicans think strictly in terms of legal means of removing Palermo, but politics goes way beyond this. Make Vinney toxic and he will see the writing on the wall and resign.

My readers, this is all about marketing and guiding the frustrations of citizens into action. Without such efforts, people will stick with bad politicians instead of embracing the need for change. They need to know, others want this politician out of office.

To be blunt, I thought Republicans would jump on this as a fundraising effort but they have not. I thought conservatives would step up but perhaps they are busy.
