There are those in the military intelligence community who firmly believe history is destiny. But as important as history is, it is not destiny.
Right now, Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson are digging up history for entertainment value and believe they have found gold but often it is fool’s gold. They follow Putin’s belief of history having magic powers. Recently, Carlson interviewed Darryl Cooper, a contrarian historian. The interview was bad enough that I did not bother watching the whole episode. Cooper has plenty of critics from defenders of Winston Churchill (https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/debunking-tucker-carlson-s-darryl-cooper-interview/ar-AA1qpJBL).
Yet, Ben Shapiro is apparently receiving information and influence from the military intelligence community, probably Israel but perhaps the United Kingdom or the United States, if not all three. Their thoughts about the importance of history align with Putin of Russia who thinks history is everything which is how he justifies his invasion of Ukraine. With such an approach to history, Shapiro encouraged the disembowelment of Candace Owens and now appears to be going after Tucker Carlson. Yes, isolationism is stupid but Shapiro is not making a good argument against it. Military might is deterence, but few are making the case for it.
In his latest show, Shapiro interviews Niall Ferguson, a respected historian, defending Winston Churchill, and taking down Darryl Cooper’s worldview.
However, Ferguson added nothing meaningful to the debate. In my view, Cooper’s interview was a disaster as at times he struggled to explain his thoughts. Shapiro would have been better off in explaining how Hitler and Stalin divided Poland and how Stalin starved Ukrainians. No one mentions how important Ukraine’s grain exports matter (https://www.consilium.europa.eu/en/food-for-the-world-eu-countries-mitigate-impact-russia-war/). This is why supporting Ukraine matters. But even mentioning such history ignores the realities of the current conflicts.
Much of the anti-semitism online comes from Eastern Europe, and few people tolerate it because it is so outlandish. This is not much of a problem. For Americans, antisemitism is intolerable because it is merely about hating people who came before you and hating history. The real problem is a sect of Jews commonly referred to as Reform Judaism, who apparently fit the description of JINO, Jew In Name Only, as they presume anti-semitism is on the political right while they suck straws from progressives whose ingrediants are pro-Hamas and pro-kill-all-Jews.
Nope, not trying to resurrect a trope or an attack on Jewish people. Please be civil, polite, and courteous with all Jewish people regardless of political opinion. However, the Orthodox Jews see the world as it is and confront it. The Reform Jews reside in progressive urban cities, and as heavily educated people, come up with idealistic and partisan biases and are very arrogant in airing and supporting their views, when reality calls for a different course of action. The dangers to average Jewish people do not come from the political right but from the political left yet this is lost on many Jewish people. In time, this will likely change and I hope soon.
Some may think this is a new perspective but it is a very old perspective. This division was the theme of the movie musical Fiddler on the Roof. Tradition!
Fun to watch and listen to a musical but the following video gives an analysis and breakdown of the movie.
What I am trying to say is Jewish communities have always had their conflicts, and interlopers like me are a distraction, and annoyance. For this, I apologize to all Jewish people. I am merely providing my wise and sage advice.
There are but two options regarding Hamas: surrender and compromise, or win the war. This battle with Hamas has gone on for too long. Israel must arrest Hamas, put them on trial for crimes against humanity, and publicly execute them. I do not care how it is done. Hanging, firing squad, gas chamber, or lethal injection, but Hamas barbarians must be removed from the gene pool. Israel needs to do so for the sake of the civilized world. To do so, Israel must foster its own independence from the progressive policies of the United States and the influence of American progressives. Will this happen? Hard to tell.
