In reading Matt Johnson's take on recent Republican divisions (https://rightcheer.com/trump-force-47-takes-off-in-omaha/), I noticed the odd divide between experienced conservatives and novice conservatives. Johnson mentions the divide as largely the result of Trump's populism but I respectfully find this to be inaccurate. All the political parties are changing as the digital economy restructures and reformats long-cherished institutions. This includes both the Democrat and Republican parties.
This turmoil started with the internet but the smartphone accelerated the problems. Smartphones were popular in urban areas where reception was good while rural areas were still struggling with basic internet. This fed a divide and at the same time, the technology often fostered emotion over contemplative thought.
The Pandemic came along and fed the divide further as the digital economy expanded. In doing so, a whole new generation of conservatives became politically active and challenged the status quo as it was more cynical of government action. Instead of adjusting to the change, many experienced establishment Republicans walked out. This is where the divide actually is. How this divide is healed, I do not know, but it needs to occur if conservatives are to make constructive change to society.
To add to the problem, Covid resulted in many changes in election laws and procedures without adequate evaluation if such changes harmed election integrity. Even Douglas County Election Commissioner Brian Kruse, of which I am often at odds with, has cautioned voters to mail their ballots in very early to avoid having ballots arriving after election day. However, the United States Postal Service is still mishandling election ballots (https://thefederalist.com/2024/08/16/majority-of-postal-facilities-audited-by-inspector-general-failed-to-follow-election-mail-procedures/). Election officials still need to be regularly challenged on these matters.
Currently, I am reading "The Big Fraud" by Congressman Tory Nehls (https://www.thriftbooks.com/w/the-big-fraud-what-democrats-dont-want-you-to-know-about-january-6-the-2020-election-and-a-whole-lot-else/37861637/). He explains the history of election fraud and what has happened over the last few years. Painfully, few will ever read his book. Many still do not want to hear about the election fraud of 2020 but realistically, the fraud of 2020 has forced Republicans to change tactics to get Republicans and conservatives to vote early and for Evangelical Christians to vote. Scott Presser is one of the top activists flipping voters to register Republican (https://earlyvoteaction.com/). Argue about fraud all you want, but change has come.
But the concerns go further. There is evidence to suggest Federal agents planned to murder Trump in Butler County, Pennsylvania. What better way to cover up such plot by killing the assassin?
Brandon Straka has been working for years to encourage people to leave the Democrat Party and created the Walkaway campaign (https://www.walkawaycampaign.com/). He lives in Omaha but has never been invited to any local Republican event. Why? Because Straka is strident in speaking the truth as to what is really going on, and some think he scares people off. Yet, here is his latest video, and I fail to find anything wrong with it. Do you?
Crime syndicate sounds too strong? These J6 defendants ended up dead due to their arrests.
Let’s go Brandon!
Brandon Straka makes a lot of great points. I wish that conservatives were stepping up and joining him in making these points too.
