Tim Pool (https://timcast.com/) has been running on YouTube for a long time, providing commentary on the news of the day. He and his crew have conducted various interviews with high-profile people.
The problem most interviewers have is they do not appreciate the difference between a critic versus an advocate. Critics are cheap but can be very sharp, entertaining, and persuasive. Milo Yiannopoulos fits in this category as does Ann Coulter. When they are right, they get cheered, but when wrong or annoying, they are not worth much time. Milo shows up in public wearing a jean jacket in one interview with Tim Pool and the next time wearing a suit with Kanye West (Ye). So what is his real game here? Milo seems to be an opportunist clinging to Ye for an opportunity, yet the whole interview was a dumpster fire.
Kanye West has obviously had some odd experiences with Jewish associates but it also appears he is off medication and goes into a rant. He is highly sensitive to criticism and has clearly been exposed to anti-Semitism tropes. Nick Fuentes is a closet antisemite who tries to criticize immigration policies. He also advocates for America first policies, yet when the mood strikes him, he strikes out with blatant anti-Semitism of the worst kind. Ironically, while riding with West, he gets called a white nationalist or white supremacist which makes no sense.
Donald Trump was contacted by Kayne West and met with him. What choice did Trump have? Yet, West brought Milo and Nick along and all hell broke loose. People say this is going to hurt Trump but I doubt it.
The real problem is how the Anti-Defamation League appears to get contorted over politics instead of attacking the blatant anti-Semitism. Here are a few links of ADL’s odd actions:
Contacting Adidas to retaliate against Kanye West. Why did the ADL think this was an effective strategy? The main result was to make West the leader of the anti-semites.
https://www.adl.org/resources/letter/adl-letter-adidas-executives-regarding-kanye-west
Supporting Adidas in an odd controversy over mascots. This really appears to be out of the realm for ADL to make comment, but they did.
And “Stop Hate for Profit”. Really? Does anyone want to talk about how news media profit over partisan hatred?
Furthermore, complaining about profiting on hate is absurd. Well, Amazon is making profits on Hebrews To Negros, a blatantly anti-Semite film made in 2018, yet the ADL missed it until now.
I am not opposed to Amazon selling the film, but I do object to them not providing some independent critique of the film. If movie ratings can be based on tobacco scenes, why not explicitly state the film has been found to be anti-Semitic? How about removing the ratings? Yet only now is the ADL catching up and is calling for the film to be banned, which would actually make things worse (https://www.adl.org/resources/letter/jewish-communal-letter-amazon-regarding-antisemitic-film-available-platform). Keep in mind, this film was made back in 2018 and only now the ADL is responding and there have been new films since. I really wish the ADL would back away from politics and instead focus on exposing actual threats to Jewish people.
Seriously? That was your takeaway from what Ye had to say about this--and his revelation of that extremely threatening text message from his former celebrity handler (which appears to validate the accusation that Harley has previously falsely imprisoned Ye using a fraudulent claim of mental illness)?!
1. Ye has a right to freedom of speech--just like you or I do.
2. Ye doesn't like being threatened any more than you would like it, and just because the person doing it may be ethnically Jewish doesn't make it right.
3. Being Jewish is NOT (and definitely shouldn't be) a get out of jail free card!
4. Mentally ill people have rights. So do celebrities.
5. Wasn't the WHOLE POINT of HIPAA and Patients Rights that people would have to stop abusing other people like that?
6. Celebrity handlers should not be given or have the power to institutionalize their clients just because they "get out of line" or say things that those handlers might find offensive.
I also question Harley Pasternak's claim on Judaism--because--righteous people just do NOT go around threatening to criminally kidnap other people and destroy them because they don't like what they have to say.
If Harley doesn't like Ye dissing his parentage, then--a far more rational and measured reaction would be for Harley to cease working with Ye.
It does no one any good, least of all anyone of Jewish heritage who takes their faith or heritage seriously, to let Harley Pasternak continue to get away with abusing his clients while trading on that shared heritage.
