Update: Apparently, either I or Substack goofed and the image of first letter was deleted. I provide it below:
Read the letters above and show them to others and ask for their reaction. When letters like this appear, I doubt the editor has any committment to the facts or a cosmopolitian ear to listen.
The letter by Bradley is so bad it is almost parody. She bought into a lie about “insurrectionists”, while ignoring the abundance of problems with the 2020 election. USAID, which is the United States for Agency for International Development, gave money to foreign countries while Americans were panhandling on the streets.
The next letter by Haubrich could not be more wrong. The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) programs have nothing to with disabilities. Look to the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) which empowered people with disabilities. The Act was signed into law by Republican President George H. W. Bush. Why did the editors publish it? Why did they not add a comment of correction? Because they rather plant a lie for sales.
Unfortunately, for Lee Enterprises, as so many other news outlets, are only interested in sensationalistic journalism instead of helping ajudicate the facts without engaging in blatant censorship. There is a fine line but on X there are Community Notes and on YouTube, they will provide links to relevant information.
Jeremy Aspen, who is on the Weird Herald’s Editorial board, tried to correct for some of this by putting an end to comparing Trump to Hitler but he went to the Democrats because he prefers to support his business in Mexico (see my prior posts) instead of US citizens. With such persons at the Weird Herald, Lee Enterprises is invested in a sink hole of no return. The disconnect between real people and flaming idealists grows.
