I have no idea who he is, but--then--I won't be showing up for any more Republican meetings either after the one appalling example I attended here in Lincoln over a year ago. I don't want any part of a party that's run like that. The only reason why I'm still a Republican is so that I can vote in the primaries--and because the Democrat party is just that much worse.

But if there was another truly viable option, I'm sure that a lot of us would abandon them both without a backward glance.

You need to add a new reason to the list of major complaints now against Trump:

He has a terrible case of foot-in-mouth syndrome over his (mis)management of the COVID crisis/scam and the COVID shots. He keeps getting painted into corners by journalists where he's forced (or offered the opportunity) to defend his legacy on this--and he keeps going for it! I am seeing people who've supported him despite that legacy up until now turn on him with a vengeance over this.

The deaths and suffering this nastiness has wrought are totally inexcusable. I share their pain and I understand their anger. I wish--HOW I WISH--that Trump and other leaders in the GOP other than DeSantis would start to figure this out and get a clue. This is not a legacy that needs to be defended. It is a legacy for which they're going to need to go down on their knees collectively in repentance.

The ones who get there faster--like DeSantis--will have a political future going forward. I believed up until a few days ago that Trump did too, but--he isn't going to if he doesn't change his tune ASAP and start singing a new one quite loudly.

I accept much of what you say. Do not give up on the Republican Party and the factions within. Political parties are mostly governed by volunteers. Be a bit more patient and tolerant and seek out those you agree with.

Um... I think after a lifetime of putting up with the GOP's corrupt pandering to special interests and general incompetence (I've never yet seen a victory that they couldn't turn into an appalling defeat), I've been patient and tolerant enough.

Tolerance and patience are now, at least in this instance, four letter words.

That doesn't mean that I'm kicking Trump to the curb over it. But I do think it's time he actually started listening to his supporters. He got booed months ago already at a rally after mentioning his rapid COVID response and the vaccines. I'm sure it won't be the last time that happens, either--and I think, if he is at all interested in faithfully representing us from the Oval Office, that he would take the hint.

My argument remains. Any political party is going to be subject to special interests. This is why I don't look in the rear view mirror on something like COVID.

Andrew, COVID may be in the rearview mirror, but the high cost of the COVID vaccines is not. We're still paying for that.

I got a response back from Mike Flood today to a letter I recently wrote him. Here's what he said:

January 31, 2023

Dear Ms. Kercher:

Thank you for contacting me regarding vaccine mandates. Americans must have the right to make their own medical decisions without being punished. I appreciate hearing from you on this issue.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, many mandates were issued requiring Americans to wear masks and get vaccinated. Members of our armed forces were even kicked out of the military despite medical and religious objections. I am opposed to mask mandates, vaccine mandates and vaccine passports. Vaccination is a personal choice, not something the government should impose on its citizens. Whether it’s for medical or religious reasons, refusal to be vaccinated should not result in anyone losing their job or being subjected to any discriminatory treatment.

COVID-19 will likely be with us forever and many new variants will emerge. This cannot be used as an excuse to deprive Americans of their liberties.

Should any legislation concerning vaccine mandates come to the House of Representatives, I will always fight for our freedom.

Again, thank you for contacting me. Hearing from you directly is essential for me to best represent our district in Congress. To continue following my work in Congress, you can visit my website at flood.house.gov.

Here is my reply to this from Mike:

Dear Mike,

I'm relieved to hear you acknowledge even this much.

However, as more and more of the truth comes out, I wish that you would look into, and hold the Department of Defense, NAIAD, the NIH, the CDC, and the FDA, as well as Pfizer, Merck, and other responsible parties accountable for participating in a plot intended to defraud and deliberately kill off large swaths of Americans using gain of function research—that Fauci signed off on and funded at the Wuhan lab. Fauci was working for the U.S. Dept of Defense when he deliberately engineered and pushed this experimental but highly toxic cocktail of extreme nastiness as a "necessary therapeutic and preventative."

Someone needs to answer for that. Hard questions need to be asked! Why does our own military think it is somehow necessary and good to wage war on us and try to wipe us out? Who is behind this? You need to hold them accountable!!!

COVID-19 vaccines are neither safe nor effective. The high toll in human lives and the horrible cost that our society is paying for having been led down this road by evil people in our own nation's government—is continuing to mount.

Never before, in the entire history of the world, has collateral damage from an adverse event been so high! Not even in Pompeii. People who weren't directly in the blast zone of the volcano survived to live another day and had a very good chance of rebuilding their lives. But with COVID-19 shots, the people who get them are being subjected to endless rounds of an incredibly horrific version of medical Russian roulette. Even in the wake of the Black Plague, those who survived it were likely to continue living as long as they were able to work and farm their own food.

I urgently implore you to do some research into the insurance industry's mortuary tables from 2018 onwards. You need to see what happens after the shots are introduced. Funerals sky-rocket.

Among my family and friends, there isn't a family that has gone untouched by sudden deaths among the vaccinated.

* I have friends who are racking up numerous instances of people close to them who have "died suddenly" post-shot or are living with serious injuries.

* Cancers of all types have increased at a rapid and never-before-seen rate since the rollout of the COVID-19 shots. You do not have to take my word for this: subpoena the statistics from cancer centers around the U.S.!

* Myocarditis and pericarditis are now serious medical issues among ATHLETES; the fittest of the fit in our society. Kids and young adults are dropping dead of cardiac arrest in the middle of games they've trained for years to play!

* Even worse now, is the unfolding scandal with the FAA. 20% of pilots' EKGs are so far outside of normal that the FAA has quietly changed the medical requirements in order to keep them flying. This is very, very dangerous, not just for these pilots and their passengers, but also for everyone on the ground. You need to do something about this.

* And everywhere I go, businesses have signs in the window soliciting applications and saying that they're hiring, and EVERYWHERE I GO, there is a shortage of people actually working in places where, before the COVID panic, there were, if not plenty of employees, enough to keep customers adequately happy.

Mike, our country is in serious trouble.

You need to stop saying things like, "it's a person's private medical choice whether or not to get vaccinated," and start holding accountable the malicious people who foisted this madness on the rest of us before it's too late.

Sincerely,

Krystine Kercher
