The people opposing Trump appointees are the most shortsighted ,myopic people ever. They would lose a game of tic-tac-toe for failing to comprehend the next move. Trump has already calculated their objections.
My advice: approve of all Trump appointees. Give Trump what he wants and let these people fail or succeed on their own merit or the lack of it. Stop bickering and wringing your hands over it. Trump will only be around for four years. Let him reign supreme without apology.
The problem anti-Trumpers have is they can only defame and attack and have no credibility to do so. To gain any credibility, give power to the Trump appointees, and when they make mistakes, you can take advantage by pointing out the problems as they arise.
But the anti-Trumpers cannot tolerate such thinking because they are terrified to the point of petrification of the thought such appointees will be very successful as they come from outside the established system instead of from within it.
You would think the Democrats would pause in their attacks as former Democrats such as Robert F. Kennedy Junior and Tulsi Gabbard are chosen by Trump but instead, they are terrified. They really are petrified these appointees will change the course of the United States.
I don’t agree with absolutely everything these appointees say. Kennedy advocates for a ban on food additives but such additives often make food more affordable and enjoyable. Gabbard opposes the US being the world’s policeman but what would the world look like without such a policeman? But instead of opposing such appointees, it is best to allow them to be appointed and have these discussions put in the public square where they belong.
None of this is simple and straightforward, but the best advice I can give to Nebraska’s congressional delegations is to give Trump everything he asks for. There simply is not reasonable reason to object. If necessary, go into recess and let Trump make recessed appointments.
People OPPOSING Trump's picks intentionally do not want him to succeed. Go back and look at how they voted for Biden's picks. I wonder if they voted FOR Biden's picks for the same reason, but that's probably wishful thinking.
The only appointee I don't particularly care for so far is Dr. Mehmet Oz. But--if he rises above some of his unfortunate detractions and does a good job, my opinion is subject to change.
I look forward to seeing who else Trump selects.
