Update 2: Sarpy County Republican Party has a response https://secure.anedot.com/sarpy-county-republicans/signs .
Update: Abortion petition is getting attention (https://rightcheer.com/nebraska-abortion-amendment-poorly-worded-legally-problematic/). Also, election fraud is still appearing (https://www.wnep.com/video/news/local/luzerne-county/523-122e88c3-4208-4869-b318-74007cf62977).
Omaha is turning into a hotbed of partisans. Blue dot signs are everywhere, a testimonial to a party without policies, and fearful of winner-take-all being enacted in Nebraska.
To me, it has become both comical and sad to see the United States flag disappear and be replaced by left-wing symbols—flags such as the rainbow flag, trans flag, and the Palestine flag fly. The menorahs on the doors are gone and the Christian fish are nowhere to be found. Whatever happened to having the Virgin Mary in the yard or a Christian cross in the window? All evident in Omaha in Congressional District Two.
Republicans are starting to push back and have put out their own sign supporting winner-take-all or flat-out Republican Nebraska (https://www.redstatenebraska.com/ and https://secure.winred.com/red-state-nebraska/sign). Some may think this is tit-for-tat politics but is an issue as well
Nebraska Taxpayers for Freedom (https://www.netaxpayers.org) is urging members not to use mail-in ballots through the United States Postal Service. “We strongly urge our NTF members to NOT mail in their ballots because of the failure of the USPS to deliver ballots in a timely manner or merely losing them.” I recommend early voting in person.
In other action, a strong effort is in motion to educate the public about the abortion ballot issue. The site at https://www.voteagainst439.com includes a campaign toolkit. Plenty of information to use. I wrote about this before (https://andrewlsullivan.substack.com/p/misleading-nebraska-women).
Meanwhile, Omaha has to study why people are poor (https://nebraskaexaminer.com/briefs/efforts-launched-to-create-omaha-plan-to-eliminate-poverty-as-required-by-new-ne-law/). And the "winner" of this project is Nebraska Center for Justice, an agency of University of Nebraska, which provides high salary jobs for white people with college degrees (https://www.unomaha.edu/college-of-public-affairs-and-community-service/nebraska-center-for-justice-research/about-us/index.php). But only four right workers now! My advice to Omaha to combat poverty is to send every household in Omaha a copy of Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand (https://archive.org/details/in.ernet.dli.2015.458873/mode/2up) or perhaps Economic Facts and Fallacies by Thomas Sowell or his other book Basic Economics.
Not be outdone, leftists are coming to the defense of immigrants and want more immigration because Nebraska has so many jobs in need of being filled (https://nebraskaexaminer.com/2024/09/18/more-than-60-ne-entities-show-unified-front-to-update-laws-state-policies-that-help-immigrants/). How about filling those jobs by promoting families and having many children instead of promoting gay bars, transgender surgeries, contraceptives for everyone, and abortion-on-demand? Why are we promoting the killing of unborn Americans and encouraging immigration at the same time? You can try to claim the replacement theory is a racist hoax but there is the evidence for you.
Bob Borer has something urgent to say about the prolife issues: https://robertjborer.substack.com/p/nes-abortion-initiatives-what-to
It turns out that that prolife amendment ballot initiative isn't nearly as prolife as we all thought.
The left has gone crazy with policies intentionally designed to destroy our society. They are not benefiting the poor or middle class, only the wealthy.
