This free trade idea works only if their are no tariffs otherwise countries like the USA that ha virtually none has their industries drawn, quartered and gutted. We have environmental and labor laws that many countries do not have. They can manufacture things we cannot because of this. They can manufacturer cheaper because of this. So lacking the fact these various regs are not going to be repealed they must be equalized at the border.
