I disagree on the Ricketts comment, but Dan Frie is the real deal. He is smart, intuitive and a true conservative. He listens, he knows we cannot continue funding Ukraine and not funding our borders. We the people are pissed and Don has been doing too much late night drunk tweeting. we have the receipts. he doesn't want the job anymore.
Yes, Bacon needs to be replaced. It's clear that he's lost sight of whose team he's playing for.
As to Ricketts... oh my...
Andrew, if Trump is, by some miracle, re-elected (I.e., survives all the outrageous attempts to imprison him, bankrupt him, and otherwise assassinate his character and quite possibly his person), WILL RICKETTS ACTUALLY WORK WITH TRUMP? Or will he, once again, do everything in his power to undermine Trump, to sabotage Trump, to... pull the rug out from under anyone who is willing to work with Trump or is endorsed by Trump?
Because I am not at all convinced that he will choose to be a team player, or that he's anything other than a very mixed bag of nasty political tricks. I say this with, yes, one eye on the rear-view mirror and an unfortunately vivid negative recall of the character assassination of Herbster that he orchestrated.
I think all mean girls should be removed from government when they use their positions to destroy other people just for the heck of it -- and that includes Ricketts. I keep waiting for him to turn on us all again and stab us in the back. AGAIN.
It's nice that he was pro-life, that he stood for fighting the DEI/CRT/trans crap in the schools, and that he is, apparently, fighting for individual property rights in the senate. But it doesn't excuse or cover over the evil that he so blatantly committed.
It's a pretty reasonable ask that our political figures that we support as voters should treat us with the respect that we deserve and repay our trust in kind, but--apparently Ricketts doesn't and can't. And I don't think it's unreasonable to 1. realize that or 2. internalize it, and 3. not want to have him representing us further in any elected office.
The same goes for Deb Fischer. I got another fundraising/get out the vote email from her, and--frankly, I wish she'd just retire into the obscurity that she so justly deserves. I can forgive her for smugly trying to send me and everyone else to our deaths via "YOU SHOULD GET THE SHOT BECAUSE I SAID SO" messaging, but... that doesn't mean that I will ever again, for any reason, trust her or vote for her. NEVER AGAIN.
Nebraskans need to aim higher and refuse to elect or re-elect anyone who makes it clear that they are unwilling to respect us or trust us at the ballot box. If they can't do that, then...

Dan Frei has my vote. I was active in his last campaign.
