Misleading Black Americans
When Kamala Harris first ran for president, I was stunned to see conservative Black Americans stating she was not Black and were persistently blasting her.
This forced me to wonder what was going on. Race nearly always dominates political discussions between the left and right, while ignoring a vast amount of cultural problems. Yes, people will judge you by the color of your skin, but they will also judge you on thousands of other things.
Much of Black American identity is based on race and racism to the point of entrapping the person into negative, fatalistic thinking. This identity goes way back to the most intolerant racism of the One Drop Rule (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One-drop_rule). By this Rule, Kamala Harris is Black and if you accept that, you are a racist.
However, conservatives focus on individuals, not race. So what is Harris (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamala_Harris)? Her mother is from India, specifically Tamil (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shyamala_Gopalan). Her father is from Jamaica and his Irish ancestry owned hundreds of slaves (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_J._Harris). This is why people are contesting Harris’ claim to be Black. She may as well claim she is Irish.
Many think these “mixing of the races” is due to rape. While rape did and does occur, most often, it does not result in pregnancy, let alone birth. Most likely out of wedlock sexual activity took place leading to complicated relationships due to racist intolerance. Much of migration in the Americas has been driven by people fleeing racism, bigotry and intolerance. But a child is a gift from God, no matter how conceived or what races were involved.
Does Harris have merit? Harris had talked about reforming criminal law but many are skeptical as her record is spotty (https://www.vox.com/today-explained-newsletter/363859/kamala-harris-prosecutor-record-tough-crime and https://www.themarshallproject.org/2024/07/27/kamala-harris-prosecutor-california-police-election-crime). Oh, and while the legacy will lie about Harris, she was Biden’s border czar (https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/fact-check-harris-was-biden-s-second-border-czar-despite-recent-media-claims/ar-BB1qC2XX).
Also, Harris is too academic, and has no connection to blue collar workers. The conflict between academia and the working classes is very deep and she exacerbates it, in part because of her parents who are also college graduates with prominent careers.
In addition, as long as only men have to register for the draft, a woman should not be president. Hey, I can say I am opposed to abortion all I want, but I can’t get pregnant. Idealism must confront reality. Taiwan is facing Chinese aggression. Israel is fighting off Hamas. Russia has invaded Ukraine. The United States needs strong leadership, not a glamor girl.
Also, her spotty record has a unique odor. Harris was elected San Francisco District Attorney but she failed to clean up the human poop which plagues the City. San Francisco is so bad, it has an app called Snap Crap or SF311. This is odd considering former San Francisco Harvey Milk campaigned against dog poop and advocated for pooper scoopers (https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2015/02/harvey-milks-first-crusade-dog-poop-114811/). San Fricisco motto should be “the shittiest city in America”.
Yes, women's rights will be what the Democrats scream as they praise Kamala Harris, but just remember, they appointed a Supreme Court Justice who does not know what a woman is (https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/health-wellness/2022/03/24/marsha-blackburn-asked-ketanji-jackson-define-woman-science/7152439001/). Apparently, we have one Supreme Court Justice does not know what a vibrator is. If I sent her one, I would enclose a note: Sorry, batteries not included.
Harris is seriously problematic on many levels. As A.G., she set the legal wheels in motion to try to destroy the journalists who exposed the vile sales of butchered baby parts and organs orchestrated by Planned Parenthood.
As far as the draft, it's biologically unreasonable to expand the draft to include women--and there is nothing in the Constitution that says that a woman can't run for President. We have far more important issues to focus on right now, like pushing for election integrity and transparency.
I also think you'd find yourself on far more stable ground if you argued for doing away with the draft altogether. We have an all-volunteer military. It is one of the best militaries in the world--or it was. It is certainly one of the best funded despite all of the recent efforts to undermine and destroy morale, and divert that money to where it doesn't belong.
We don't need to "police" the world and we definitely don't need to be fighting endless wars in the Middle East or in countries like Ukraine, but we do need a military strong enough to defend our own borders, and a president willing and able to stop the flood of illegals and send them back home. Harris won't do that. Harris isn't just incompetent, she's destructive and bad for our nation, and that fact would be true regardless of her sex.
