Refraining from endorsements isn’t possible with the current GOP state constitution that allows party resources to help endorsed candidates. The main perk for endorsed candidates is the bulk mail rate the party has for mailers. That is a significant savings. The constitution also states that candidates must request endorsement to be considered, which incumbents have not done. The incumbents put the state party into a catch 22 where they have to choose “unity” or the constitution. Many in the grassroots believe that is an intentional power play by the Ricketts camp.
I am not suggesting a ban but when you pointless candidates enter a race, the party has no substantial reason to endorse. In this case, it seems judgement was made on incumbents for not showing up.
Demanding that one side come together doesn't make sense. Both sides have to come together in humility. If Republicans fought the Democrats with the same vigor that they fight each other, CD2 would be bright red.
Exactly! That's why all parties need to come together to settle things. The new people in the party's committees aren't part of a conspiracy. They are desperate. The country is failing and they want change.
Our candidates need to work for the support of these new members, not just expect it or demand it. Conservatives held their nose and supported Bush, Bush, McCain, and Romney; even when they were disdained by the people that they were trying to support. Conservatives have done their part in the past and they are passionate about their support for Trump and they want change.
It is absolutely time to bring the party together.
There's a reason the Democrats don't have any conflict, they didn't get to make any choices during the primary.

Understood, but unity is necessary for Republicans to win.
