Suttle was a better mayor - at least he was honest. Lying Mean Jean has done nothing but lie since she took office. As you say she claims to have cut prop taxes you can bet your last dollar if the Legislature would pass a law requiring the mill levy to decline when the value goes up she'd be squealing like a pig under a gate. Why does no radio or tv person nail her on this lie?
I think you step a bit far. Suttle catered to special interests. Stothert could not do much different but she did reorganize how the City financed itself and got rid of idiotic regulation and did take dramatic efforts to reduce excessive spending at times. However, the point of my post is to highlight how she allowed the spending to gallop away and appoint people who did not serve the public good with the best of intentions or knowledge.
