Very interesting perspective! Not only will a warming climate increase plant growth (hunger will continue to increase because we failed to adhere to the original Golden rule) but so will jobs. Building dikes, Fighting forest fires, and rebuilding after other extreme weather conditions level homes, farms, entire cites...but we do not need to fear for 'the world'. Just 'our privileges in it, and maybe our species survival on it". Earth has experience at least 5 mass extinctions in the last few hundred million years. Mass casualty events wiping out up to 75% of all species on earth, with mostly lower levels of life in the oceans surviving. Humans are a clever species...but far better at engineering WMD and ignoring "the Laws of Nature and Nature' God" (the golden rule) than preserving the natural systems that enabled our evolution up to this point, or a system of global governance that respects and enforces these two basic law sets offered in the "Declaration of Independence". We need a new political party slogan to replace MAGA. MAMA "Make America More American Again". President Lincoln called the Declaration of Independence our "Apple of Gold" and our Constitution its "Frame of Silver" (a biblical reference). Yet our policy makers swear an oath to protect the frame...and not the apple. And then we keep electing them...thinking our Constitution can solve our problems.
Keep in mind, if you think the warming is caused by humans, you are mistaken. The Earth has been moving out of an Ice Age for about 25,000 years and still is.
I believe you are right. I also believe that human activities are accelerating that warming. I also believe nuclear power may be our best and fastest option. But given the threat we face from multiple human technologies (bio, nano, chemical, cyber...) exponentially accelerating the pace of evolution of weapons, war, pathogens, and other environmental degradations (species extenuations, new unnatural chemicals without understanding their long-term health consequences....) I believe climate change may be (in my unhumbled opinion) the least of our worries. FYI: My home is mostly made of recycle and reused materials. There are few people living this close to Washington DC who do more to walk their 'green' talk regarding solar panels, water capture/conservation, composting, native plantings, invasive species removal, and native wildlife corridor building between city, county, and state parks. And my children are NOT giving me grand children...so I'm taking them out of my will! ;-)
