Update: John McCollister moved out of Nebraska. Who care where he moved to?
Now that former State Senator John McCollister has endorsed Tony Varga (https://www.vargasfornebraska.com/endorsements), how many Republicans will follow his lead? Try this: none.
There are many in the Bacon camp who are terrified he may lose, but I believe it is all too much hype. The Second Congressional District has more Republicans than Democrats and the Bacon campaign has stellar people. Yet some Republicans think I am being too confident of Bacon’s chances: “It’s a purple district!”. Perhaps, but I see a lot of red in it.
But at the same time, Vargus is a flat-out fantasy-dreaming, New York progressive (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Vargas). He proclaims to be Catholic but supports abortion (https://www.vargasfornebraska.com/issues/reproductive-freedom).
Vargas also believes in the idiotic man-made climate change theory (https://www.vargasfornebraska.com/issues/clean-energy). Sorry, but the theory is a farce.
If you are confused about this issue, well watch this movie:
But it does not end there. Nebraskans voted for voter ID but you can tell Vargas prefers to obstruct voter integrity for the sake of supposedly supporting democracy (https://www.vargasfornebraska.com/issues/protecting-our-democracy).
When I wrote this article (https://andrewlsullivan.substack.com/p/nebraska-elections-are-sick), Nebraska was 42 in election integrity. With the approval of voter ID, Nebraska now ranks at 19 (https://www.heritage.org/electionscorecard/pages/states/ne.html). God bless Nebraska! Screw Vargas!
